For some time now, the use of wet wipes - for intimate hygiene, makeup removal, glass cleaning, furniture, etc. - has become widespread among the population. After their use, they are discarded into the toilet, creating a serious problem. As they are not biodegradable, they don't pass through the filters and pumps of our wastewater evacuation systems to our treatment plant, causing significant environmental damage and a substantial economic cost, damaging and clogging downpipes, pits, pipes, and the pumps and filters of our treatment plant. This results in constant breakdowns and blockages.
For this reason, we ask our neighbors to become aware of the problems that this practice entails.
